We are an AVID School-wide Middle School: We would like to emphasize that this year, we are excited to be an exemplar AVID Middle School.  AVID means Advancement via Individual Determination. AVID’s mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.  Regardless of their life circumstances, AVID students overcome obstacles and achieve success. They graduate and attend college at higher rates, but more importantly, they can think critically, collaborate, and set high expectations to confidently conquer the challenges that await them. This means we teach all students at Pinnacle Middle School how to be organized, successful, and equipped with the best possible tools to be college and career ready even before they enter high school.
