We are excited to welcome you to the Pinnacle community. Our mission is to work with families to give students a strong K–12 education. We focus on solid academics and a school culture that is supportive, safe, and innovative.
Pinnacle Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school open to all students in Colorado. We give families across Colorado a meaningful alternative to their home district or neighborhood school; and with our transportation options, getting here is easier than you might think, no matter where you live!

Pinnacle Charter School welcomes students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Families living anywhere in Colorado are encouraged to apply, there are no district boundaries that limit enrollment.
If your child is currently attending another school, they may absolutely transfer to Pinnacle. We accept students from public, charter, and private schools, as well as those who are new to the area. Enrollment is based on available seats in each grade level.
Our goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible for both students and families, and our team is here to support you every step of the way.

Students applying for Kindergarten must be five years old on or before October 1 of the school year they wish to enroll. Students may attend Pinnacle Charter School through 21 years of age in accordance with Colorado law.
Students who are younger than the Kindergarten age requirement may be considered for Early Access through the State of Colorado’s gifted identification process. Early Access is designed for highly advanced gifted students and includes additional evaluation and approval requirements.

Pinnacle Charter School is a tuition free public charter school, so there is no cost for students to attend. We also provide free breakfast and lunch, as well as free athletics for students.
Transportation is available for a fee of $175 per student. This fee is waived for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch.
Some optional or situational fees may apply, including field trips or charges related to lost or damaged school property, technology devices, curriculum materials, or other school issued items.

Is Spanish support available during the enrollment process?
Yes. Spanish speaking staff are available to assist families throughout the enrollment process. Many of our written communications and website tools can also be accessed in multiple languages.
What if the grade level is full?
If a grade level is full, students will be placed on a waitlist. Families will receive an email confirmation, and our enrollment team will contact families if a seat becomes available.
What documents will I need for enrollment?
To enroll, families must provide documentation verifying the student's age and identity, such as a birth certificate or passport. Other documents, including immunization records, parent or guardian identification, and custody paperwork (if applicable), may be requested to support the enrollment process and help maintain complete student records. Our team can also assist with copying documents during enrollment appointments.

Is Pinnacle Charter School tuition free?
Yes. Pinnacle Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school, so there is no cost for students to attend. Athletics are also free for enrolled students.
There are a few optional or situational fees to be aware of. Transportation is available for a fee of $175 per student; however, this fee is waived for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Families may also be responsible for fees if school-issued items (such as books, technology, or other materials) are lost or damaged.

Does the school provide meals?
Yes, we provide free breakfast and lunch for all students.
While it is not required, families are encouraged to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch application each school year (available starting July 1). Applying may qualify your student for additional benefits, such as free transportation and other school resources.
When does the school year start?
The school year typically begins in August for the new academic year.

Who can enroll at Pinnacle Charter School, and can my student transfer from another school?

Can students enroll during the school year?
We accept new student enrollments during our open enrollment period, which runs from January through October. Enrollment closes after October 1, and we do not offer mid-year enrollment beyond that date.

Priority during enrollment?
During the enrollment period, priority is given to the following groups:
1. Matriculating students
2. Children of current Pinnacle employees (full-time or part-time)
3. Siblings of currently enrolled students
Siblings are defined as students who share the same primary guardian(s) as a currently enrolled student. In cases of joint custody or temporary guardianship, the primary guardian(s) must have at least 50% custody for the student to be considered a sibling.
How do I apply, and what happens after I submit my application?
During the open enrollment period, families can apply by completing the online Intent to Enroll form. Once submitted, the enrollment team will review your application and communicate all updates via email.
After submitting your application, here’s what you can expect:- The enrollment team reviews your application
- You may be asked to submit additional documents
- If space is available, you will receive an email with an enrollment offer and a link to complete the enrollment application
- To secure your student’s seat, the enrollment application must be completed before the offer expiration date
How will I know if my student receives an enrollment offer?
Families are notified by email when an enrollment offer is available. This email will include a link to complete the enrollment application. The application must be completed before the expiration date to secure your student’s seat.
What if the grade level is full?
If your child’s grade level is full, your student will be placed on a waitlist. You will receive an email confirming your student’s placement on the waitlist.
Seats may become available if a currently enrolled Pinnacle student withdraws, creating an opening. When a seat becomes available, the enrollment team will contact families via email with an enrollment offer and instructions for next steps.
What happens if I miss the enrollment offer deadline?
If an enrollment offer expires, the seat may be offered to another student. If you are still interested in enrolling, please email our Enrollment Team at registration@pinnaclecharterschool.org to check current availability and request that your application be reopened so you can continue the process.
If no seats are available at that time, your student will be placed on the waitlist.
How do I check the status of my application?
Families can check their application status by reviewing emails from the Enrollment Team or the Enrollment Specialist. You may also contact the Enrollment Office for an update by email at registration@pinnaclecharterschool.org or by phone at (303) 450-3985 ext. 1163.
What documents and information will I be asked to provide?
Once a seat is offered and you begin the enrollment process, families may be asked to provide certain documents to complete enrollment. Commonly requested items include:
- Parent/Guardian ID
- Proof of Student’s Name and Date of Birth, Examples are Student Birth Certificate or Passport
- Immunization records
- Custody documents (if applicable)
If you need assistance, our team can help make copies of your documents during your enrollment appointment.
Can My Student be Denied?
Yes. An offer of enrollment may be overturned, or an application may be denied for the following reasons (in accordance with CRS 22‐33‐106 [3]). Parents may request an explanation for denials.
- The student has already graduated from high school (or its equivalent)
- Failure to meet age requirements
- Having been expelled from any school district in the preceding 12 months
- Failure to adhere to immunization requirements
- Behavior in another school district in the preceding 12 months that is detrimental to the welfare of safety of other pupils or of school personnel.

Can I tour the school before enrolling?
We offer open houses throughout the school year, providing families with an opportunity to explore the campus, learn about our programs, and meet staff.
Families may also request a school tour by contacting the Enrollment Department at registration@pinnaclecharterschool.org or by calling (303) 450-3985 ext. 1163. Tours are a great way to get a closer look at our school community.
